Second-chance Saturday

Sister B (Maxabella to those who have met her) tells me that my linky idea is a good one, but I have no idea about marketing. Oldie-but-goodie - as last week's debut linky was named - is, apparently, old hat. Not cute. So I need to come up with something that will look good on a button.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

In the meantime, I suggest we press on. The idea is that you dust off one of your fabulous early posts. One that you love but that didn't get the attention it deserved due to the relative unknown-ness (new word, I just invented it) of your stellar blog. The rules are simple: follow the Fibro if you're not already a friend, link up and share some comment love with your fellow linkyers (also a new word - how do you like it so far?).

What are you waiting for? World's easiest linky. You've already written the post, so simply dust it off and let that senior citizen shine.

My post this week is all about Cruising. Yep, Fam Fibro went on a cruise, almost a year to this day. How did it go? Read on to find out. And then link up below.

  3. Sounds great, something nostalgic?? Has got me thinking!! Oh a cruise, wow wee, my husband & i went on a Greek Island cruise out of Italy in July, loved it, i didn't want to leave. We'll take the 4 children next time, 3 will qualify for the teen club (in 18-24 months when we plan it) so they'll have a ball. Love Posie

  4. Look at you doing a linky! A person takes a wee break and you get yourself all technologically now. Impressed :) I quite like Second-chance Saturday. Will have a think and let you know!

  5. Second-chance Saturday is not bad. I'm more into 'Retro Round-up', but that could just be me. Or even 'No Comment Comeback' or something like that... hopefully you'll get some better ideas from more imaginative people today!!

I love that post that MM put up. Makes me laugh and go 'oh yes' at the same time. x

  7. I like the sound of that, let me take a wander through some old posts, though I'm not so sure mine are all that interesting. There are so many blogs I love to sit and read with a nice cuppa in a quiet moment, this will be fun...

  9. this linky IS a good idea...

Especially considering that we are doing more reading of blogs than writing of posts at the moment...Not feeling the posting love at all lately....

So this makes me feel like we are doing SOMETHING...thanking you!

I linked up one of Nic's first posts ever today...I think because I am dreaming of a little escape down the rabbit hole myself today

  10. Thanks for doing this again, Allison. It's a great public service you're doing! (and thanks, Cate. Blush.) I really enjoyed reading last week's ones. The one I just added about headspace is quite topical for me at the moment. J x

  11. Great idea , there used to be one called Scrolling Saturdays along the same theme.
The lady has appraently stopped blogging :(

"Basically, you just go back in your archives, dig up an old blog post, repost it, and let it get some new love!"
And another one I will remember later...
I like Second chance Saturday better.

  14. Allion, I love this idea. I have recycled, even though I am still relatively virginal in the blogosphere. Thanks for the opportunity!

  18. I love this! My blog is nearly a year old but I only started promoting it a few months ago so no-one has read my old stuff :P Loving reading the older stuff of some people I already follow and finding new ones too!

  19. Hi Yarg - why close your linky list so early? Keep her open for the week until next week's edition, I reckon. x

  20. Yes! Because I keep forgetting to pop by and link up on Saturday, and if the list was still open on Sunday night, I'd get a second second chance.

  21. I know! Sorry! I'm new to all this linky love stuff you know. I promise to do better next week. Thanks to everyone who played along - and look forward to seeing you all again next week.
