Christmas has snuck up on me this year. I've been so busy focusing on other things that the festive season has passed me by entirely. And now here we are, December 21. The boys are on holidays. The Builder is on holidays. Technically, I am on holidays, but with deadlines in mid-January, there's no such thing as a holiday.
Having said that, I am taking a break from blogging. Two weeks. Some may say I began my break about a month ago, so sporadic have been my posts. But this is the start of the official Official Break.
So I'll be back on January 7, all rested up and raring to go. I'm hoping to do more writing-focused posts next year, and to bring back the Q&As with industry experts. Let me know in the comments if there's anything else you'd like to see at the Fibro in 2013.
In the meantime, here's wishing you and yours a happy and peaceful festive season. Look forward to seeing you all at the Fibro next year.
Is it beginning to feel a lot like Christmas to you?
PS: I'll probably pop into Facebook and Twitter over the hols, so come and say hi!

Merry Christmas to you and yours too, Al. Christmas has snuck up on me a bit too, and to be honest I'm looking forward to getting a bit of work done while my husband's off work for a fortnight! And eating lots. xx
ReplyDeleteHope you get a small break in - and I'll be eating right alongside you!
DeleteI actually finished my Christmas shopping two weeks ago. Everything is wrapped and ready. I put up my tree on the second weekend of December, which is completely unheard of until now. But it still doesn't feel much like Christmas, probably because I no longer have small children writing wish lists or letters to Santa, finishing a school term or counting down the days till the BIG ONE. It's just not the same.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you. Enjoy your {short} break.
Thanks Lisa! You're right about that Christmas feeling. The boys are SO EXCITED! I just need to let that rub off on me...
DeleteI'll be seeing you in the Fibro. x
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break! Have a happy and safe Xmas!
ReplyDeleteYou too Kerrie!
DeleteI've just about reached the point where I'm wishing it was all over already.
ReplyDeleteMe too River, me too.
DeleteMerry Christmas Al. I look forward to you sharing more writing posts, but really you could write about the dust on your side table and I'd still read it!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break xx
Thanks for the blog post idea for 2013 Jodi! :-)
DeleteEnjoy your break from blogging! I have been so busy these past months that I haven't had time to read or write anything! Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling! Hope you enjoy your break too.
DeleteYep it is feeling a lot like Christmas here! My daughter reminded me this morning that it is 3 sleeps until Christmas Day!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Yep, counting sleep here too!
DeleteMerry Christmas Al, thanks for all your support and encouragement for new writers like me this year, it's been hugely appreciated and has helped so much. Enjoy the (sort-of) break and look forward to more Fibro tales in 2013
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Allison. Thanks for all of your insights this year - yours is a blog I come back to time and again and am always interested and satisfied in equal measure. Christmas is a little different for me this year as I gave up my full time job in October and have been freelancing sporadically since then. Work and children have still kept me busy, which is lovely, but the release from the stress of full time work and management responsibility has been the best Christmas gift I could have given myself. A good, proper break and a clear head to enjoy my family freely on a good, proper holiday! Hope you can do the same in your self-imposed break. Rest, Refresh, Revive and can't wait to see what the new year brings! Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteIts Christmas Eve ALREADY!! Merry Christmas. Enjoy your break.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely Christmas.
