What did you talk about this week?

It’s that time of the week when I share some of the wide variety of topics of conversation that came up through work or play in the course of life in a pink fibro.

Star Wars, UK election, whether neon is an Inert or Rare gas (quizmaster says Inert, Dad says Rare, I stopped listening around 'neon'), The Outsiders, The Great Gatsby, Eat Pray Love, sore backs, growing teeth, guitar practice, school funding, origami, birth 'experiences', Enjo, Avon, subtraction, Omar, working mothers, agency agreements, marketing, the speed of the publishing process (or lack thereof), Little Ninjas, stamps worth $millions (maybe these new UK design ones will be an investment?), hide-and-seek, retrenchment, Twitter, Julia Gillard, Galore (NSW), vegetable seedlings, cauliflower soup, The Road, Monopoly, Lego minifigures, winking, negative gearing, Edward Degas, my new boots, packing, feeding fish, Mothers' Day presents (and where the apostrophe goes on the card)... and makeovers.

What came up at your place this week?

  1. Allison, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I know the purse is super-girly but that is what I love about it!

Now I'm off to peruse the rest of your blog.... ;-)

  2. What a fascinating snapshot of your week this produces. It's a bit like one of those word clouds. I might try it myself another week but I'm afraid if I did it for this past week 'UK elections' would be the only significant words. Be glad when it's over.

  7. UK election pretty much morning, noon and night. Also Stringer Bell actor Idris Alba - he was in a new BBC drama this week which we thought dire and we thought he must be hankering back to the scripts on The Wire. Also whether my husband is trying to poison me with hoisin - he knows I hate it but keeps adding it to stir fries. Joking.I hope).

  8. Oooh, I love the new look. And the letters in the tree are much better-looking than the scary zombie-spawn thingies would have been, I do believe. =>

The discussion at my house this week? Labor. And how on earth I can not possibly be in it. Maybe when I stop talking about it, it will actually happen!

  9. Parenting, writing, kid's clubs, going to Melbourne (soon!), house-hunting (over it), food, parents, shopping (want to do more), aaaaand...lots and lots of stuff I can't remember, because my brain is like mush after years of looking after my boys! *sigh*

    Have a great weekend, Allison!

  10. I love this idea - and love reading and seeing the similarities & differences. :) This week for me... Mothers Day classic, lego, star wars, halo, play station, palm oil, nestlé, grocery shopping list, Madonna, 4 kilometres, HEAD LICE (and their incessant ways), blogs, writing, pumpkin soup, mothers day, red wine, the hypo puppy, the heater (and it's inability to work)
